About Me and a FAQ

♥ I am a disabled Air Force veteran, a reverend, and I am college educated (highest degree is a BS in Math). The light of my life is my beautiful daughter!

♥ Outside of dA, I participate in several charities such as volunteering with the Blood Mobile and Relay for Life, rescue stray animals, and participate with my local chapter of Phi Theta Kappa as much as possible. I may have downsized what I do on deviantART, but my love for those I have met here only grows!

♥ On deviantART, I participate in several groups - most of them are about Closed Species / Sailor Moon, respect or positivity (or a combination of the three). Much of my online activity has moved to Facebook and Artists Aware despite my continued activity in a few groups on deviantART.

So some drama on dA paved the path that inevitably led me to a friend who led me to the Myers Briggs personality test. That is the link to the free test that I took - it was my favorite of the 3 tests I tried. According to the results, I score very high in all traits - like I am a hardcoring factual phenomenon lol. I am the ISTJ personality type which, if you know me, is the analytic, logical, realist, emotionless part of me that so many seem to hate lol. :3 It is eerily like looking in the proverbial mirror. A lifetime ago.
It really does seem like a lifetime ago. So much has happened! I don't even remember being a n00b on dA anymore. I don't remember what the layout looked like. And I hardly remember the works I submitted. But I remember why I came... For art. That is it. I stayed for the community. Not art. Not support. Not advice or critiques. For the people in my fandom. To meet them. To be part of something bigger than me.
And boy did I bite off more than I could chew!!

One of the first works I favorited on deviantart. It was this piece alone that I followed from the search on Alta Vista that took me to deviantart. And I was hooked.
I came because I saw something pretty that I loved. I stayed for the community. It was that simple. Since then, that community I stayed for has challenged every part of my being... Not just art-wise but also what I think about in regards to my favorite fandom.

What tools do you use? I have a Canon Rebel T3i and use Lightroom for post processing. I also use a 0.5HB lead in a mechanical pencil and notecards / sketchpad for drawing plus whatever colored pencil and white gel pen I can afford that month.

Will you add me to your personal Facebook? No. Never. Not until our souls have melded together.

Are your commissions open? Will you draw ... ? Yes. Note that I do not work for free - payment is always up front and in full.

 Why do you only draw senshi? Who are your OCs? I don't draw only senshi. But I do draw a lot of senshi - I am a fanartist and my favorite fandom is Sailor Moon after all.

How do you become a Senior / get the Deviousness Award? Work hard and be kind.

 

Are you really a veteran? Yes. I am a service connected veteran from the Air Force. I have a disability from an injury I received in the military.

Are you really a reverend? Yes.

 Can you tell me stories from when you were in the military? No. I don't speak much on that time.

 How were you injured in the military? I fell during basic training. I tore my knee up really bad - required physical therapy to be able to walk properly again... still can't walk properly and now my foot is messed up too...
