"You wish to challenge me?"
To leave Purgatory, one must challenge Azazel. This is no small feat or she would not be the guardian of Purgatory. Once you are in, you are most certainly stuck there. Should you try to escape, you will be met with great power and pain. Should you request a challenge to win your freedom, you must beat Azazel in three challenges:

The Challenge of Intellect
The Challenge of Wills
The Challenge of Strength

In the first challenge, the Challenge of Intellect, a great and difficult riddle must be solved. In the second challenge, the Challenge of Wills, you must pit your emotions against Azazel and overcome your fears. In the final challenge, the Challenge of Strength, you must defeat Azazel in battle though unlike the beatdown you get for attempting escape, this is an organized and honorable battle.

Azazel is, in all ways, terrifying. She is the fallen angel guarding purgatory because of her disobedience as an angel in the first place... Escaping Heaven for the seductions and sins of a mortal life. While she is seductive looking and appears beautiful and almost humanlike, she is forever devoid of the emotions needed to be loved and to love (or feel the sheer happiness and ecstasy of being loved). And when she smiles or shows her bare hand, her inhuman qualities shine through in terrifying ways as just a touch with her clawed hand can rend skin, causing insurmountable pain. And a simple smile reveals a mouth filled with fangs and true evil intent (think Cheshire cat smile only add a bucket or two of extra creepy).

No creature, mortal or not, would think to stand by the side of such a disobedient, terrifying and outcast senshi. Escaping Heaven for companionship and love of a free mortal life has led to her total imprisonment in her worst nightmare: standing alone, unloved, without the hope of companionship, and with the opposite qualities of the very things she hoped would make her seductive and desirable (lips, smooth skin, dainty hands and feet, etc). Her punishment only adds to her deep growing anger and resentment. And she is no stranger to escape. The question is, will she escape the Mouth of Purgatory? And if she does, what kind of terrifying evil will be let loose from Purgatory?

Transformation
Azazel is always transformed. She has no other form (or rather no other form she is willing to show anyone).

Abilities
 Smile of Sages
When Azazel smiles, she can literally stop a creature in its tracks out of fear and loathing - it's almost paralytic. In doing so, she can use the moment of stillness and fear to look into their eyes to find their worst fears and deepest desires. She uses this information in the Challenge of Wills and in the Challenge of Intellect.
Gate of Dreams
Azazel has the ability to open a window into a parallel world where a creature's dreams and desires are played out. In doing so, she can choose what to pull out before closing the gate. The event from the gate remains active until defeated by either Azazel or the challenger (Challenge of Wills). As a battle tactic, Azazel will pull a strong desire to trap her enemy in. With it being a desire, if the enemy doesn't realize what is going on, they may spend eternity reliving the same happy event over and over again while Azazel sits by and watches until she decides to destroy them.
Raging Geyser
Azazel summons forth pure rage as condensed energy and blasts her opponent(s). This attack can be funneled to hit just one creature or spread out like a cone to hit multiple creatures. When the attack hits, it throws back her enemy(s), clouds their minds with anger and hatred to make it difficult for them to concentrate and continue fighting effectively, and causes a great deal of pain momentarily that paralyzes them until the pain dissolves from their body. The more times she hits a creature with this attack, the more hatred and rage the target's mind clouded with making it even more difficult for them to concentrate and attack back.
 Physical Attack...
Azazel is incredibly fast with intense physical strength, can fly and one hand is a claw with razor sharp nails. Hitting any creature with a punch, kick or claw attack can leave her enemy stunned, knocked out, or worse. She can hit a challenger so hard in the Challenge of Strength that they will be violently thrown back into Purgatory.
Gemstones...
The gem on Azazel's right hand holds the key to her wings. She can move around and exist without them if she wants to. She rarely goes without them. This gem also can create gusts of wind to allow Azazel to effortlessly lift herself off of the ground and take flight in an otherwise windless environment. The gem on her bodice is how she can move to and from Purgatory. Escapees fleeing Purgatory activate the gem, causing it to light up and glow to alert Azazel that she has an incoming battle. Challengers actually materialize from the gem near Azazel. And should they fail their challenge (as basically all of the do), they are put back in their place by a single mighty punch or kick that sends them tumbling and flying back through the Mouth of Purgatory.

The Mouth of Purgatory
The Mouth of Purgatory is a gaping fanged mouth shaped opening in the darkness that is illuminated by a red and purple hazy fog. The only object anyone sees is the shape of Azazel pacing the opening...
