CGS Clothing Meme Ethne aka Sailor Anguiculus

Finally done and dA is now working so the description is also updated! Yes, you can RP with Ethne / Anguiculus. Just please tag me so I can read it and respond. Also make a mental note that through RPing she is now married and has two little girls via sailorx161 <3 Note that Ethne, while a fierce warrior, dreams of just being a "real girl" who gets to do real girl things, have friends and wear any clothing other than her religious robes. She is also pretty naive about the world outside her religious order as she grew up a very sheltered life of religious studies and battle training.

In-Depth Personality Profile and History
Ethne is a Priestess of Leviathon, having been taken from her birth family at a young age to learn the ways of the Senshi and the respective religious lore behind the Senshi, their powers and the Moon. As such, Ethne is rather shy with few friends. She spends most of her time in training (both as a Senshi and as a Priestess in Meditation) which has given her more of a "strike-first" personality. She isn't so much aloof or aggressive as she is decisive. She doesn't have to think on her options long before she knows what path she intends to take. She is also very studious - spending a good amount of her time studying to ensure she passes all her exams (the Priests and Priestesses of Leviathon take their religious studies very seriously).

Since Ethne didn't know her family very well (and doesn't remember much about them), she doesn't really miss them. She does yearn for the idea behind having a close family and because of her desire for a family and not really understanding the little nuances about love and romance, she is in no way objecting to the High Priestess's demand to choose her husband for her - essentially an arranged marriage with a man from Senshi lineage to hopefully secure the Anguis Senshi Bloodline. This is actually working in Ethne's favor as her seclusion from the general population has made her rather shy and somewhat awkward which makes meeting new people somewhat difficult if not embarrassing for her. She can do it - she is assertive enough - but her shyness can get the best of her (there is a big difference between cutting the head off of a monster and asking a guy on a date).

Since Ethne has spent most of her life secluded from the general population and taught mostly religious lore and battle strategy, she has very few hobbies. What she does love doing is reading - reading is her escape from the mundane studies in her life. The High Priestess purchases large numbers of books from Mare Ingenii for Ethne to read in her spare time. When Ethne isn't reading, she loves to swim. The humidity can sometimes get pretty intense in Mare Anguis, so swimming is a favorite past time of most of the citizens. Ethne, however, does not swim where the general public swims. Her temple boasts a very large and ornate pool just for her to swim in. Ethne does often wish she had more friends she could invite into her temple and share her comfortable living with them. (or to perhaps diversify her hobbies!) Besides swimming and reading, Ethne love sports and participates and practices for the Leviathon Cup each year.

Because Ethne is so "sheltered" by the Priesthood, she looks for escapes in other ways too. Ethne has a fondness for travel (she loves her home but truly enjoys immersing herself in other cities and their culture) and a deep love of her femininity. She is often found, when she can escape her robes, in girly dresses and almost literally drowning in as many pieces of jewelry as she can wear. Skirts, girly hair-dos, sparkly jewelry and make-up all make her smile and feel how she thinks "normal" people feel (by normal people, she is thinking of non-Senshi non-Priestess women). Ethne is always without words when receiving gifts that make her feel like a "real woman" though her complete and total appreciation and delight are written all over her face.

As a Senshi, Sailor Anguiculus is a force to be reckoned with. Her initial transformation into a Senshi is more than enough, but when she uses her "Ebony Constrictor Strike" attack to steal energy and magic from her enemies, she can power-up into her Warrior form complete with armored breastplate which increases her defensive ability and allows her to withstand crushing attacks and deflect most magical fire. This in addition to her already dizzying array of attacks and knowledge makes Sailor Anguiculus nearly fearless in battle (and she will take some stupid risks if she thinks the benefit will outweigh the possible disaster of failure).


 Swimsuit
Ethne has a rainbow of swimsuits at her disposal and could simply wear one a day for a year and never duplicate a previous swimming outfit. She always wears her Basilisk Stone somewhere on her swimsuit in the event that she must transform. While she doesn't have the same ridiculous number of sandals to choose from, most of her sandals are colorful and decorated with gold as is fitting for her station as a Priestess of Leviathon.

 Civilian
Ethne doesn't have many clothes fit for going into the general public simply because she is almost always either studying, practicing or taking part in some type of ceremony. When she does get non-Priestess clothing, it is usually as a gift (and the girlier the better). When she can, she will sneak out to the market where she spends her money on shoes, jewelry, clothing, hairpins, books, etc. That is mostly when she will wear her gifted or purchased civilian clothing which she enjoys because most people, even the citizens of Mare Anguis, don't recognize her out of her Priestess robes so she is left mostly alone to enjoy herself (and not end up in an awkward social situation that her secluded life has not prepared her for lol). Even in her civilian clothing, no matter what she wears, Ethne always finds a way to carry her Basilisk Stone with her.

 Ballgown
As a rule, Ethne LOVES wearing really feminine clothing. Any time she has the option to go to a ball or some formal event, she quickly agrees. The High Priestess must approve of all her gowns, but Ethne doesn't mind. Getting out of her robes to look like and feel like a woman is one of the most wonderful things she can think of doing. As a senshi, the High Priestess never approves of a ballgown where Ethne's Basilisk Stone cannot be somehow safely affixed to the clothing for easy access in the event of a Senshi emergency.

 City Robes
Ethne is required to wear the robes of the Priesthood when traveling and when in Mare Anguis. Now, Ethne does sneak out in civilian clothing from time to time, but when she is caught, it is right back into her robes she goes. These particular robes denote her rank as the Warrior of Leviathon as well as that of a high ranking Priestess of Leviathon. Ethne finds it a little overbearing to wander around in her robes and feels like she sticks out unnecessarily (and people constantly stop to speak to her and ask questions or ask for prayers, etc). As a Warrior of Leviathon, Ethne must also wear her Basilisk Stone on her robes and a crown. The color schema for her City Robes mimics the Moon Senshi Family color schema for their fuku (clearly based on canon fuku coloration for a reason).

 Ceremony
Ethne's ceremony robes are gaudy and repugnant to her. She feels ugly in them and only wears them when she must. And she must wear them to all religious services, to all major events (and usually during those events) and to greet high-ranking officials visiting Mare Anguis. To her utter dismay, Ethne is also required to wear these robes when travelling to show her status as a Priestess of Leviathon as well as her connection to Mare Anguis. In her full regalia, her Basilisk Stone is hidden from view but she must still wear the crown to show her stature as a Warrior of Leviathon. Yes, even her cape and sleeves are studded in gold, and underneath, her sleeves and gloves are all gold lined.

 Warrior
This is Ethne's first fuku upgrade: Warrior Sailor Anguiculus. In an attack, Anguiculus attacked with her Ouroboros Orbs but was hit. Her Basilisk Stone came loose and collided with the power of her orbs. In the explosion, Anguiculus detransformed. When she finally found her Basilisk Stone, she could see two lights in it. When she transformed for the first time after, she transformed into her warrior form with extra body armor made from the Basilisk Stone. With this armor, she is immune to fire. She gets no special or extra attacks with this upgrade though.
